Event Description

The Business Case for Sustainability in Facilities Management

Synopsis:
Many CEOs and other C-level executives from small to large companies think implementing sustainability measures cuts into profits, and for public companies, decreases shareholder ROI.  But in our fast changing world of technology and the growing focus on corporate responsibility, companies who are not driving sustainability are at risk from insurance companies, future employees, supply chain management of vendors, and others. These risks can have a huge effect on a company’s profit and loss sheet.  Join Hunter Lovins, one of the world’s leading advisors on capitalism and sustainability experts, for a lively presentation on the business case for sustainability and raising profits. She will discuss the economic case for solving global warming, peak oil, the vulnerability of our energy infrastructure, land conservation, and others.  Innovation drives profit, and even if you do not believe in climate change, she will show how businesses are using sustainable approaches to drive innovation, increase ROI and create an advantage in today\'s market. Join us to learn more about how facility managers can convince the boardroom they must take a proactive approach to sustainability as a way to stay competitive, contribute to their firm’s integrated bottom line and drive business value.
